Coming This Week! The Young Adult Scavenger Hunt

Coming This Week! The Young Adult Scavenger Hunt

team+redI recently signed up to be part of the fall 2015 Young Adult Scavenger Hunt, which runs from Thursday, October 1 through Saturday, October 3. This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize — one lucky winner will receive one signed book from each author on the hunt in each team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!

This fall, eight teams are featured, and you can enter the competition for as many as you’d like. I’m on TEAM RED, along with 19 other YA authors who write in a variety of genres. Some of us you may already know, and others you will be happy you’ve had a chance to meet through this fun activity. I’ve already seen the “sneak peek” that I’ll be hosting, and it’s a great read! Someone else on TEAM RED will in turn host my bonus feature, which is a deleted scene from Surviving Santiago that I was sorry I had to let go.

Check back here Thursday for the official YASH instructions, the piece I’m hosting, my super-secret clue, and my link to the next site on the hunt. And good luck to everyone who enters!

  2. What a great idea!

    • Thank you, Linda! In a few short hours, I’ll have my post up. The person who linked to me put hers up early, so people have already been stopping by.
